Commander Skelley Presents Check to Veterans Assistance Dogs of Texas

At the fall DEC American Legion Convention is Austin, Tx. Commander Thom Skelley put out a challenge to all of the squadrons of the Sons of the American Legion of Texas to raise money for the Veterans Assistance Dogs of Texas.With this challenge, who ever donated the most money would get to push him into the hotel pool.Thom raised $1750 and the check was donated at the recent VA Dogs fundraising golf tournament in Kerrville,Tx.

After the tournament Squadron 593 hosted the Commander to a night of games and dancing at the Post Home.
